Eternal Life in the Garden

I wonder if this really is God’s call to each of us,

as the apostle Paul put it to “his son” Timothy:

“Lay your hands upon eternal life, for this is your calling – celebrating in faith before the multitude of witnesses! ~1 Timothy 6:12, Passion Translation.

And Paul gets even more emphatic, later on in this same paragraph to Timothy: “I instruct you before the God of Resurrection Life and before Jesus … that you follow this commission faithfully” ~1 Timothy 6:13-14. It’s definitely a commission! a commission of divine origin, as is evident by Paul’s zeal.

In Timothy’s case, “the multitude of witnesses” may have been a company of people, for Paul himself laid hands on him and commissioned him ~2 Timothy 1:6; but it may also be “the great cloud of witnesses” mentioned in Hebrews 12:1 which follows immediately the “heroes of faith” -chapter, which are past saints – those who have passed on to glory but who are somehow present as witnesses.

For Paul instructed Timothy about his calling: Lay your hands upon eternal life, for this is your calling – celebrating in faith before the multitude of witnesses!

That’s something like we do, in church, in our prayer meetings and as oft as it happens, daily! – celebrating in faith before the multitude of witnesses! and laying our hands on, or taking hold of eternal life.

Could it be, that Timothy’s father in the faith was instructing him that this is his whole duty and honour in this, his lifetime? – to ‘lay hold of eternal life and celebrate through faith in God before the multitude of witnesses’.

I know by experience that Holy Spirit’s presence comes to such worshipers, and it’s heavenly for sure!

We are called to “hold” eternal life, which is “a given” from anyone’s reading of John 17:3, Hebrews 7:16 cp. Romans 6:4. The power of an indestructible life such as Hebrews says is ours, through God’s gift to us by the resurrection ~Romans 6:4.

Also 1 John 2:17 makes it more plain: “The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever”. The term: ‘lives forever’, is equal to ‘lives eternally’ in the original Greek wording. Therefore, eternal life is here-and-now, a real and true ownership and possession of the believing one, life-long!

But the presence of heaven’s great cloud of witnesses, each one would have to decide on, through our experience in worship and through our ‘walking with Him in the garden’.

For has God or has He not, perfected our righteousness and sanctification? ~Romans 5:17 and ~Hebrews 10:14 as examples; so that we can walk with Him ‘in the garden’ as Adam and Eve did, pre sin? ~Genesis 2:8-15 cp. ~3:8. For it was the Lord’s habit to walk with His made-people, in the “breeze of the day”, in the garden in the evening.

Will we walk with the Lord by holding onto eternal life, walking in the presence of His heavenly witnesses? Has God called us to this, as our main ‘lifeline’ in this world? I believe so. For where else do we belong, since we are strangers and pilgrims in this world, but to heaven’s presence and to an everlasting life through our worshipful lifestyle?

In my eyes, we need to consider these things as now-time truth; if we are ever going to walk in them – eternal life and a presence of heavenly witness. For, wasn’t it Stephen the martyr in the early part of Acts, who ‘saw heaven open’? ~Acts 7:56 as though it was already there, but it only appeared to comfort him as he was being martyred.

While we’re here, throughout this pilgrimage, we fix our eyes on the things that are unseen, for what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal ~2 Corinthians 4:18. Therefore, we have an enchanting “garden-walk” with Holy Spirit that captures our hearts with God’s will and heaven’s immediacy, where He captures our hearts with all goodness, love, mercy and truth so as we are enabled to walk upright, confident and ‘in command’.

Take a walk in His garden, won’t you. The apostle Paul says we’re called to it, by God! and that it’s our very life’s stay and stability, this stay of our now-time knowledge and walking in the way of Eternal Life, and our conviction of the Presence of Witnesses, whether natural or supernatural; as this coupling of our commission “here on earth as it is in heaven”.

The ‘coming together’ of this post and article was inspired by:

Brian Simmons’ prophetic post as posted on Facebook on Wed. 18th Oct. 2017

The old order is quickly passing away

The season of change you have anticipated has now come, My child. It will be your love for Me that will see you through the most difficult of times. Disruptive revelation that brings the shocking truth to the media, to the government, and to My church—disruptive revelation that overturns the tables of religious profit—will bring about My righteous ways.

New mission strategies are coming to you in dreams and through prayer. Great understanding of My mysteries are coming to those who sit with Me on My blood-sprinkled love seat. The old order is quickly passing away, and a new breed is arising. They will be known as daybreakers and dawnmakers. They belong to Me and to Me alone. As My fiery servants, they accelerate the changes I am bringing to the earth. They will bring back My ways of holiness and passionate love.

Have I not called you to love with all of your heart and all of your passion? This is the day of all, not part, My child. You will see all of My love and all of My power at the disposal of those who have sought My face with all of their hearts.

The season of change has come, My child. You have heard it before, but know I declare it again: you will never be the same again, for I have placed My hands upon you, My church, My bride.

“Timothy, you are God’s man, so run from all these errors. Instead, chase after true holiness, justice, faithfulness, love, hope, and tender humility. There is a battle raging, so fight with faith for the winner’s prize! Lay your hands upon eternal life, for this is your calling—celebrating in faith before the multitude of witnesses! So now, I instruct you before the God of Resurrection Life and before Jesus, the Anointed One, who demonstrated a beautiful testimony even before Pontius Pilate, that you follow this commission faithfully with a clear conscience and without blemish until the appearing of our Lord Jesus, the Messiah.” ~1 Timothy 6:11–14.

Landscape of our Heritage

Methuselah lived 996 years, there being no ultra violet radiation before the world-wide flood and therefore limited ageing, for the globe was watered with a sun-protecting mist.

What will be your longevity?

Throughout life, we stand on land, in the lands and depend on land for our welfare and survival. Where has your life prospered? Our faith in God also has a spiritual landscape that courts our attention, charms our life and captivates our obedience or following of God.

The ‘spiritual landscape’ of the generation we live in, and of our own generation(s) is captured in this eBook I’ve written: Key to the Knowledge, for anyone’s free download.

For the eternal gospel is generational and it’s a scandal by nature:

“We preach Christ crucified, preaching which to the Jews is a scandal and an offensive stumbling block that springs a snare or trap. And to the Gentiles – meaning all other nations’ peoples and lands – our preaching appears absurd and a load of unphilosophical nonsense!

“But to those who are called, whether Jew or Greek, Christ is the Power of God and the Wisdom of God.

“This is because the foolish thing that has its source in God, is wiser than men, and the weak thing that springs from God is stronger than men. For simply consider your own call, brothers and sisters” ~1 Corinthians 1:23-26, clarified Amplified Version.

Methuselah was called “when he dies, it comes”, which is the literal meaning of his name in Hebrew. And when he died, the world wide flood came! Judgment is not a popular word, but it is when anyone knows that they’re called of God.

Any reader may like to see here, for a couple of God’s most gracious and merciful judgments, and they’re made entirely for our sakes.

Imagine in those times before the flood, Methuselah’s mother calling him for dinner as a child, for she’d literally be saying: “when he dies, judgement comes”, dinner’s ready! Have you heard the voice of God calling you and do you know if He’s chosen you? This is our whole security, stability and victory in all of the landscape of life.

If you’ve heard God and followed God by hearing His voice – the voice of the nurturing, consoling, healing and nutrifying Holy Spirit; just like Methuselah’s mother’s voice – then you will know that He’s called you and chosen you, for He cannont lie when He calls you by name: “John”, “Cyndie”, “Terry”, “Joel”, “Harmony” or whatever.

Because then, you know that He knows you.

But then, where do you stand in the landscape of life? Do you stand on a mountain top, courting His right stance and judgments? Do you stand on a hillside, ready to slide or still climbing? Do you stand in a deep, dark valley of woe, or in a fertile valley of delight?

Ages may pass, and it seems like no one cares or has cared, but you’re called by God, and you know He cares, even though you’ve been living a scandal. It’s alright, because God himself is scandalous, He’s used to you, because He knows the exact place in the landscape that you’ve traversed and are now standing in. He can speak to you there.

Interesting! When Methuselah was born, Adam was still alive, and would have easily comprehended Adam’s creation naratives as an adult. So, what if this Bible narrative is true? Will it fit your age?

For simply consider your own call, brothers and sisters ~1 Corinthians 1:26 – for it’s ageless and it’s in the landscaper’s hands by the calling and choosing of the Ancient of Days.

So, for a sense of agelessness, please read this scripture. It’s a heavenly mist. I may need it to become a foundation stone for me, hence-forth!

Heirs of the World

It seems a common case to me, for “we-as-Christians” to lose our vision in God’s kingdom, and just “rattle around at the bottom of the barrel”, by losing our hope in eternal things.

This may help.

And yet: What do you value?

“The Lord God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds’ feet, for he will make me to walk upon my high places” ~Habakuk 3:19

As the author of this post, I’m not intending to explain in detail, what I mean by quoting these scriptures, for the revelation of scripture comes with meditation – see Psalm 1:1-3 and 1 Corinthians 2:13-15, also John 3:5-8.

Therefore, let the reader meditate prayerfully on the comparison colored words. Orange, is for God’s promises; green is for God himself, and purple is for our faith in God and it’s aims in this world, or our own personal faith’s vision and it’s clarity or hope.

My reading of the above quoted scripture in Habakuk today, lead me to read this one in Deuteronomy as a comparison:

But the Lord’s portion is his people,
Jacob his allotted heritage.
He found him in a desert land,
and in the howling waste of the wilderness;
he encircled him, he cared for him,
he kept him
as the apple of his eye.

Like an eagle that stirs up its nest,
that flutters over its young,
spreading out its wings, catching them,
bearing them on its pinions,
the Lord alone guided him,
no foreign god was with him.

He made him ride on the high places of the land,
and he ate the produce of the field,
and he suckled him with honey out of the rock,
and oil out of the flinty rock.
Curds from the herd, and milk from the flock,
with the fat of lambs, rams of Bashan and goats,
with the very finest of the wheat—
and you drank foaming wine made from the blood of the grape ~Deut. 32:9-14.

This verse:

Like an eagle that stirs up its nest,
that flutters over its young,
spreading out its wings, catching them,
bearing them on its pinions,

describes how the Lord God trained Jacob, making him into Israel: “Prince with God”.

It’s like the eagle’s training of her young egrets. She throws them off the cliff face! But then, this parent-eagle catches them, and brings them back to their nest, and she repeats this until they learn to fly themselves.

Learning how to “fly” in God’s kingdom – trusting in His promises so that you see them fulfilled by Him, which itself lifts you above your circumstances through faith in God – is a training ground, and will ever be a training ground “this side” of seeing Jesus face to face.

Hebrews chapter eleven, gives us many examples of the Bible characters from whom we can learn, how to trust God as they did, and “fly”. But we each need to learn to lift ourselves up through our trust in God’s word and Spirit.

“I have given you wings”, says the Lord!

For the promise to Abraham and his offspring (that’s us!) that he (and they) would be heir of the world did not come through the law, but through the righteousness of faith ~Romans 4:13.

Hold on! For I think that Mother-Eagle, will be “tossing us off the cliff” until we become heirs of the world. Let’s learn how to fly, aye.

It’s “fair dinkum”, because the scripture from Deuteronomy 32:9-14, is immediately preceded by the contrasting case of “whose portion it is”, by claiming: “The Lord’s portion is His people” (v9), whereas “the Most High gave to the nations their inheritance, when he divided mankind. He fixed the borders of the peoples” (v8).

So, the preceding verses were all about dividing up land for social, cultural, economic and even for ceremonial purposes; “but the Lord’s portion is His people”. As Christians, our love for others and for God, is quantified by the degree of love we have for each other – see 1 John 4:20-21 – so, besides being Abraham’s offspring, we are our Lord’s portion.

We “fly” in Him, for He has claimed us as His inheritance!

Us! In Our Right Mind

fish-buildingWho in their right mind, would build like that!

This following piece of writing originates from a divine dream, and is for the building up of anyone’s true faith in the true and living God. Here’s the interpretation.

On my pilgrimage and journey in God’s kingdom, I’ve come into a densely inhabited place, with many people having been bought by God into my experience and sight.

Foremost in my vision, is a large, fiercely moving truck, loaded to the hilt! Its towering load seems to be about to topple, but it has passed this trajectory of my experience of God’s people, passing on: virtually out-of-view.

Whilst musing over this large truck and it’s load, being perplexed about its supernatural bearing, I progressed into a constriction – the constriction caused by people’s unbelief of the eternal gospel’s true truth. For such unbelieving people had parked their, otherwise functional cars, here in my view of where this truck had raged.

Abandoned and forsaken, these people’s cars showed their owners and operators’ credentials – stagnation of any truly spiritual faith; their spiritual faith being taken over by complacency; their spiritual zeal and love being abandoned for an earthly and man-pleasing honor.

These people and their service in God’s kingdom had entered the narrow way of a true and godly life, but they’d abandoned their godly service of other people’s needs when their way became narrowed to a straight way, preferring to love their own desires, making up their own estimate of spirituality instead of seeking God’s, and replacing their own will for His.

But the trajectory of my own will in God, bought me close up to the complacent rage and selfish zeal of these people which I calmly pushed aside through earnest prayer. For I continued to believe that my God makes a way where there is no other way to be seen in the natural.

pilgrims-waySo, even I abandoned this scene of devastation caused by people’s religious habits, preferring to seek God’s supernatural way, for the sake of His people. And, as the result, I came into conversation with His Son’s wisdom, through my belief in the divine covenant.

God’s wisdom showed me that this state of His people, whom He’d otherwise own-as-His-own, is about to be tried, for it’s intended to reach it’s full potential, and not to remain stagnant, complacent and rebellious.

Each one will either be tried and approved by God for their faith, or they’ll be tried and found wanting of any true faith in God. For the fullness of man’s make is by the Creator-Redeemer’s make of any man, woman and child. For our tried-and-true faith in the true and living God, is the only way to make it to completion.

But, having been tried and approved for their faith, each one of these ones will come to know that they are in an unseen but very real and true covenantal union with the true and living God, such as a day-to-day marriage of romantic and genuine love with their God. And, this knowledge, will lead such people to know that they’re God’s answer to the completion of humanity’s rights here on earth as His will is in the earth.

Meanwhile, God himself is not leaving those complacent, rebellious and stagnant people as they are; but seeking to free them from their load of shame, ungodly behavior, misrepresentation of His covenant and backslidden state. And He will do this, but only through such people’s abiding lifestyle in harmony with the blood-and-body Covenant He’s made with each of us, and for such people’s faith.

As for God’s believing and delightful ones, He’s directing us that the Body of His Son’s bride, has not yet reached her full potential, but is well-on-her-way to complete restoration, the make-of-a-mend and continuance of this completion, being threefold:

“My Church belongs to Me”, says the Lord, “So treat her as My Son’s bride, and I-Myself will be taking care of her, for His sake, even through your service of Me”.

Get back to your Foundation! ~see 1 Corinthians 3:10-17 where also the “you” in v16 is plural.

Discern and expose the lie of any claim to a new life, when it’s really the old and sinful lifestyle that’s being shown ~see Galatians 5:19-26.

Therefore, for anyone reading this prophetic testimony, please: Wise-up! through the use and practice of God’s word, especially as your meditation in Proverbs. For what seems to be a constriction or narrowing of your way, is yet your liberty.

Whom the Son – Foundation! – sets free, will be free indeed ~see John 8:36 cp. v35 in this compare state of a slave’s rights as compared with an inheriting son’s rights in a family.

If you feel like a slave, then become a son in God’s kingdom! ~Romans 8:15 cp. Galatians 4:1-7. For this is how we build in God’s kingdom, “in our right mind”, as His true sons, daughters and divine-nature-inheritors, as these inheritors of His ways as He works these through us.

Living as a son or daughter of God, worked-out in us by God’s Spirit working His will through our knowledge and practice of His word, never looked so good!

:Heart’s-Sight

Does any reader, have a heart’s-sight of this description?

“Wherever we see Christ, he is imparting blessings as the sun imparts light and warmth. While he was here on the earth, he was always reaching out his hand to give a benediction to some life that sorely needed it.

“Now it was on the children’s heads, now on the leper, now on the blind eyes, now on the sick, now on the dead, that he laid those gracious hands, and always he left some rich gift of blessing.

“Then, we remember one day when those gentle hands were drawn out by cruel enemies, and with iron nails fastened back on the cross; yet even then, it was in blessing that they were extended, for it was for our sins they were transfixed thus on the wood.

“As we :see: them thus stretched out as wide as they could reach, the attitude suggests the wideness of the divine mercy. Thus the arms of God are open to the utmost, to receive all who will come and seek refuge. There is room for the worst sinners” ~Dr. James R. Miller.

1 Refuge & FortressQuestion: Would that picture above, be a picture of a refuge, as a place for your security and safety; or a picture of some awe-inspiring majesty, or maybe even a picture of an evil hide-out?

It all depends on the way we :see:

2 PerspectiveEach person’s perspective or point-of-view, is a heart-matter! We see through “the eyes of our heart” and interpret what we see, by the preconditioning of our judgments, and/or by our experiences and our current state-of-heart and mind ~e.g. Ephesians 1:18 & Luke 12:54-56. That is: we may see injustice and react with anger as the state of our heart; or we may see something that’s heart-warming and respond with empathy and compassion.

The Greatest Heart of all, saw us down-through the ages, through His own state of extreme persecution, pain, anguish and contempt: but said: “Father, forgive them for they know not what they do” ~Luke 23:34. He saw an angry and grief-stricken mob, even from the torment of His cross. But what did his heart see? He saw our need of forgiveness.

So, how can we :see: and follow this Great-Heart’s example and life-of-love? Anyone with real faith who’s reading this, has probably seen it already, and experienced the love of God flowing through your own love for people, as you’ve reached out.

Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends. You are My friends if you do what I command you. No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from My Father I have made known to you. You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you, so that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in My name, he may give it to you. These things I command you, so that you will love one another ~John 15:13-17.

So that! Great-Heart said: These things I command you, so that you will love one another.

1_Love's Tender TouchYes, this Great-Heart was tested, just like you and I are tested:

For, when the Pharisees heard that this Messiah had silenced the nation’s political leaders by his response to their questions, they gathered together. And one of them, a lawyer, asked him a question to test him. “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments, depend all the Law and the Prophets ~Matt. 22:34-40.

So, our interpretation of all that we see in our outside world, and all that we read – another way of seeing! – in the Holy Bible, depends on how we’re fulfilling these two commands, for: On these two commandments, depend all the Law and the Prophets – love the Lord your God with all that you are; and love your neighbor as yourself.

For, all that we experience in life – our ups and our downs, our torments and our peace, our drudgery and our victory – are all conditioned by the love of God, that’s shed abroad in our heart by the Holy Spirit who is given to us, through our faith in the eternal gospel ~see Rom. 5:1-5. So, our heart’s-sight of the love of God, is right there as the Son of God took our place of punishment on the cross, and this is crucial for us knowing the love of God.

Therefore, in living our lives, we’re in the same position as Great-Heart! For, we have supernatural love, and we therefore have the ability to see all of our surrounds through His love, and so: respond just the same as He does to the heart-felt-needs of our surrounds.

ForgivenessOur start-point is: Father forgive them, for I know you’ve forgiven me.

Then, as we continue in our joyful faith, knowing God’s own forgiveness and the freedom it brings, we’re enabled by the spontaneous knowledge of God’s love, to say along with Christ:

For the Father loves me as His son, and shows me all that He himself is doing ~John 5:20.

So, what about those commandments? Those only two commandments that “are left”, for this guide of our conduct, in love. “Whoever says “I know him” but does not keep his commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him, but whoever keeps his word, in him truly the love of God is perfected. By this we may know that we are in Christ, that: whoever says he abides in Christ, ought also to conduct himself in the same way as Christ conducted himself ~1 John 2:4-6.

Therefore, by our great and merciful God’s enabling power of the Holy Spirit’s communication of God’s love to us, all things are possible, for we are enabled by God, to conduct ourselves as Christ conducted himself.

Of course, this love-response, is conditioned upon our state of purity, and upon whether we’ve “crucified our carnal nature, with its passions and desires” ~Gal. 5:24; and/or whether we’ve “circumcised our hearts” ~e.g. Rom. 2:28.  But these are teachings that Holy Spirit must train us in, in order for our characters to be strengthened in love; so that we respond in love, live a life of love, and love others as much as we love ourselves.

Each of us goes through similar trials and tests or through the strengthening of our characters, in these ways; so we therefore have taken-on-board this saying of Great-Heart’s “These things I command you, so that you will love one another”, for we’re all learning together, and being made holy, together – we rejoice with those who rejoice, and we weep with those who weep ~Romans 12:15; so that our love-together is strengthened into His love.

1 Fiery FurnaceLove and uprightness will guide us home, and we are being enabled through our practice of the knowledge of God’s love, to work the works of God whilst-ever we’re here on earth.

Notes & References

Ephesians. 1:16-19 I do not cease to give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers, that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him, having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power toward us who believe

Luke 12:54-56 He also said to the crowds, “When you see a cloud rising in the west, you say at once, ‘A shower is coming. ’ And so it happens. And when you see the south wind blowing, you say, ‘There will be scorching heat,’ and it happens. You hypocrites! You know how to interpret the appearance of earth and sky, but why do you not know how to interpret the present time?

Romans 2:28 For a person is not a Jew who is one outwardly, and true circumcision is not something visible in the flesh. On the contrary, a person is a Jew who is one inwardly, and circumcision is of the heart — by the Spirit, not the letter. That man’s praise is not from men but from God.

So: Does God praise people? Yes, as we walk in His ways, He praises us! or similarly: He confirms and establishes our good qualities ~see also, Philemon 1:6.

Romans 8:16-18 The Spirit Himself testifies together with our spirit that we are God’s children, and if children, also heirs — heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ. We will experience being co-glorified with him, provided that we accept his sufferings as our own ~ a ‘marriage’ of the English Standard Version and The Passion Translation.

Romans 8:18 We will experience being co-glorified with him, provided that we accept his sufferings as our own ~The Passion Translation. Does that ‘sound like’ the vision or heart’s-sight of God’s love that we’re looking for, that enables us to conduct ourselves in Christ? It does to me.

Exposing the Death Cult

Normally, a cult is a group of people who’ve gone wrong, and who’ve gone into extremes.

1_Self ImageConverse to “the normality of a cult”, please consider that a cult may be a way of thinking, for such people in a group always have their own teachings, that condition their thinking and unite them in their cause.

“It’s only natural”, we often say; and use this claim of our thinking’s way, to opt out of just about anything!

If eternity is at stake, all-the-while as we live, then our thinking is the only tool we’ve got to get us there, enable us to live there or here, and to take-us-on gloriously, as we live. It’s important.

Fixing Problems & ThinkingDespite the heading of this article, this script is not about Islam’s apparent domination of our western world’s outlook at this time. “Thinking”, ..though! It’s an important issue and people ARE concerned about “the Muslim uprising”, and with good cause.

I’ve recently posted this article on the web – Nations & Global Islam – and it can be accessed through that link. It’s evidence that people ARE concerned. This web site of mine is not a major news source, obviously; but my write-up of “global Islam” has been downloaded 465 times to date – it’s now early October. Evidence that demands a verdict!

So, let’s get back to the original article:

Many people think of eternity as some condition or state in the future, after death. But eternity and spirituality are also in the here-and-now.

The apostle John wrote that: The world is passing away and is disappearing, and with it: the forbidden cravings – the passionate desires, the lust – of it; but he who does the will of God and carries out His purposes in his lifetime, lives and remains forever” ~1 John 2:17.

Let’s see this last phrase of that verse, in an explained version that’s closer to the original text – he who does the will of God and carries out His purposes in his lifetime, lives and remains forever.

Doing the will of God is a surprisingly simple topic, with only four explicit criteria to it: for the will of God is our salvation: see John 6:39-40; the will of God is our sanctification, that we live a holy life by surrendering to the gospel’s claims: see 1 Thessalonians 3:1-8; the will of God is for our joy, through our thanksgiving: see 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18; and the will of God is that we do good by doing what’s right: see 1 Peter 2:15.

Please follow this highlighted link, for a more complete insight into doing God’s will.

Joyful Boys_ChildrenSo, we come back to this explanation of this key part of the verse from 1 John 2:17 – he who does the will of God, lives and remains forever.

The phrase: “lives and remains forever”, is commonly translated with just two words: “lives forever”, but is actually three in the original writings: “lives”, being a verb; and then the missing word which is a preposition meaning “into” or “amongst”, and then “forever” which is a noun.

The original meaning for “forever” in Vines Expository Dictionary is very interesting. The Greek word is aion, meaning: an endless age of spiritual and moral force. Now, that sounds better!

Therefore, by using these comparisons, we can get an original interpretation: He who does the will of God, lives into and amongst this endless age of eternity’s spiritual and moral force.

If, in doing God’s will, the believer in Christ has entered into a timeless age, of spiritual and moral force, then he-or-she, is living eternally.

The author of Vines Expository Dictionary is very emphatic, that the Greek word aion, must not be translated as “world”, which is used as a substitute at other textual sites where it would mean a temporal world, but that the Greeks’ conception of it, is that of an ongoing, eternal and timeless age.

This is an important conception or: ownership-claim for anyone’s true faith, because in the days of the Bible’s writing, the Greeks’ thinking condition was very philosophical, as the people thought deeply about life and therefore, to interpret the original words according to their original use is of paramount importance.

Therefore to bring in this idea of aion’s meaning, into the interpretation of 1 John 2:17, is a key to comprehending the true, spiritual nature and value of our Biblical and supernatural faith, because: how we think by our faith, is how we’ll each respond to the demands and opportunities of life.

Divine Conception_Soaring EagleTherefore, our conception of “death”, takes on a whole new light. That is, if we’re living in a timeless age of spiritual and moral force, by doing God’s will, then our lives are not defined by this lifetime alone, but by the ongoing, timeless age that we’re now living in, and death is just a “hiccup” in the continuum of Life.

It’s a world of controversy! We see, hear, smell, taste and feel all that is around us. But do we judge by what we see? Or do we deny the outward appearances and continue doing God’s will?

For, if the eternal gospel is true, that Christ has claimed our very souls, by living our life – the perfect life; and then: by dying our death – the death that we were due at God’s hand for our sin, but through His death: taking away our sins, sicknesses and weaknesses; and then being raised from death on our behalf so that we have His very own Life, then He avails us of the power to life a new life; and so: we have this new freedom to do God’s will.

For Christ himself has claimed: “Just as the Father raises up the dead and gives them life, even so the Son also gives life to whomever He wills and is pleased to give it.

“Even the Father judges no one, for He has given all judgment – the last judgment and the whole business of judging – entirely into the hands of the Son, so that all men may give honor, reverence and personal homage to the Son, just as they give honor to the Father. In fact, whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father, Who has sent Him.

“I assure you – Christ speaking! – most solemnly I tell you, the person whose ears are open to My words: who listens to My message and believes and trusts in and clings to and relies on Him Who sent Me, now possesses eternal life.

“Furthermore, such a person does not come into judgment – he does not incur sentence of judgment, and will not come under any eternal condemnation – but he has already passed over, out of death into life” ~John 5:21-24.

Christ AloneSo, Jesus’ words have surely “sealed the deal”, that we live now, by doing God’s will, into and amongst this timeless age of spiritual and moral force, by having passed over from death into Life, though our ownership of the gospel’s message, and through our true faith in the One who seals this message in our hearts – our divine companion, the Holy Spirit.

Divine Conception_Holy SpiritJudgment! If any reader has “come in here” with skepticism and is reacting to this message with contempt, please consider the Divine Companion’s role in your salvation:

Therefore I tell you, every sin and blasphemy – every evil, abusive, or injurious speech and thought, or indignity against sacred things – can be forgiven men, but blasphemy against the Holy Spirit shall not and cannot be forgiven ~Matthew 12:31.

The immediate context where Jesus spoke these words, warning about blasphemy and defining what blasphemy is, points towards spiritual discernment – judging between true and fraud claims of moral and spiritual goodness: see especially Matthew 12:28 in the context of the whole chapter.

Therefore it’s for the very reason that the Holy Spirit is our only source of eternal counsel, and guide into all truth, that Christ warns us against speaking against Him. That is, if you deny His presence and role, there’s no forgiveness, because He is the effective agent of cleansing: see Titus 3:4-7; and the only One who can guide us in true and right thinking: see John 16:13-15.

Testing ElephantThis is why the Christian believer seems to walk the tightrope between life and death, in our thought life. Our hearts are conditioned by the eternal gospel through Holy Spirit’s cleansing of us, and our minds are therefore conditioned to think about the circumstances in which we live, by the gospel’s wisdom, so that we are constrained by our conscience and thinking, to see life in a stark contrast – Spirit and Life vs. sin & death.

We choose life, through our lifestyle of spiritual worship. And we choose to live eternally by doing God’s will.

Our Lord has “put pay” to any death cult’s way of thinking, by these words, as they were uttered by Him to his dear friend Martha, at the grave scene of Martha’s brother’s burial:

Jesus said to His dear friend: Your brother shall rise again.

Martha replied, I know that he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.

Jesus said to her, I-Am myself, the Resurrection and the Life. Whoever believes in Me, although he may die, yet he shall live; and whoever continues to live and believe in Me shall never actually die at all. Do you believe this? ~John 11:23-26.

Hm. Do you believe this?

Death, only “opens it’s jaws” on those who’ve continued to live in sin. But by believing in Holy Spirit’s illumination of our souls, through our knowledge of the gospel, we pass through.

Yes. Death is our enemy according to 1 Cor. 15:26, but each of us must pass through death – “ten out of ten people die”. This condition is pictured, although not named as such, as the first death; but there is a second death, when death itself and hell are cast into the lake of fire, thus ending and/or starting eternal punishment: ~Revelation 20:14.

I say: “thus ending..”, for we have the promise of God: “The face of the Lord is against those who do evil, to cut off the memory of them from the earth” ~Psalm 34:16.

And: “Let them – those people who have wicked and deceitful mouths – be before the Lord in remembrance continually, that He may cut off the memory of them from the earth” ~Psalm 109:15, cp. v2.

Finally, the great Victor over death is ours! For: since He conquered death and we belong to Him, then this thinking condition of our faith, defies death as an enemy.

So, let’s say along with the apostle Paul: “The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ” ~1 Cor. 15:56.

We do not “court death” by sinning, but instead: we hold fast to Holy Spirit’s counsel, who is the Spirit of our Victorious Christ, and Himself: our victory indeed.

Kermit's Advice_LifeIt’s not by might, nor by power but by My Spirit, says the Lord.

Divine Conception_Holy SpiritIt may seem “a hard act to follow” when death, our last enemy, is still “on our battlefield” until the day we die. But we have our ever faithful Companion and His word as our divine “usher”, helper, guide, friend and comforter: throughout this corridor of time, as our everlasting spiritual and moral force Who guards our way, and makes our lives real :in-and-amongst: this ongoing, eternal and timeless age.

A Local Vision, for the Church

Whilst worshiping in church, I saw this opening of a pathway. It was while I was meditating and praying for Alcarrra – our community owned property at the end of Patterson’s Rd. This is very significant for our local and regional lands but also for all believers, especially since this vision’s sunrise is positioned towards the Hummock, which is central to this land and is a sacred worship site in our land.

I first saw, like a dark, towering sea, split down the middle and opened up like the Red Sea when Moses lead the Israelites through, “standing up in a heap” on both sides. It was as though our Lord is saying: I-Am holding back the darkness, for you to go through.

11037325_10152740407876824_7520340005015516864_nAnd then, up ahead as I looked upon and along this Pathway, there was an awesome Sunrise, as the sun is, at its first rising – “giant sized”, and low at the horizon. It was an orange colour and shade at the top, and “shading downwards” to deeper red, and then slightly obscured by clouds in the bottom quarter of its appearance.

All around, in this vision, was darkness – the waters: standing up in a heap were all dark, but with slightly glistening tops; the pathway itself, going through the waters on dry ground was pitch black; and the sky around the sunrise, were all dark as could be.

The only Light seemed to be coming from the blood-red sunrise, and even this was clouded at the bottom.

By His WoundsI believe this Sunrise and Pathway, is prophetic of some scripture’s I’ve been meditating upon, and indicates this necessity for God’s people to focus exclusively on God’s righteousness as our very own.

As this world grows darker and darker and more and more foreboding, we will need this focus as our deliberate, defiant volition, to protect and keep us from the darkness of this world:

“Your people will offer themselves freely
on the day of Your power,
in holy garments;
from the womb of the morning,
the dew of your youth will be yours” ~Psl. 110:3.

There she will respond to Me freely as she did in the days of her youth” ~Hos. 2:15.

For the background of this scripture from Hosea, is the restoration of Israel after a long period of judgments for her idolatry. So, “there” is restoration, and we live in these days of restoration. This surely applies to the Church, just as the apostle Peter spoke in the book of Acts:

“Heaven must welcome Christ the Messiah, until the times of the restoration of all things, which God spoke about by the mouth of His holy prophets from the beginning” ~Acts 3:21. see also verses 11 to 24. But it’s our personal “day of God’s power” (~Psalm 110:3) that I’m concerned about here. Where do we find it?

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel (here!) because it is God’s power for salvation to everyone who believes, first for the Jew, and also: for all other people. For in it, God’s righteousness is revealed from faith to faith, just as it is written: The righteous will live by faith” ~Rom. 1:17-17.

So, what about: these “holy garments, from the womb of the morning”, where we receive “the dew of our youth”?

By the vision’s show, it was only the top of the waters that received the sunlight, and were glistening with it.

This scripture in Hosea also speaks of our God taking vengeance on “wayward leaders” who were used as judges previously, although wicked, and that these types of people will face their judgments. Dare I say, that our nation is set up for “a cleansing”, such as the picture, place and name of Jezreel stands for!

Concerning the Church: “There she will respond (to Me freely) as she did in the days of her youth”…and… “…in holy garments; from the womb of the morning, the dew of your youth will be yours”.

…sounds like dancing with the Leader, to me!

We have a fertile “womb”, not a baron one! And “the Sun of Righteousness is risen with healing in its wings” – this is our view of Christ’s righteousness, as our own – Mal. 4:2.

So our “morning” is set, forever! -clear-as-day, for us to gaze into, and rise-up because-of. And, by God’s grace, we keep our garments holy, not through law, but through a love relationship with our Creator, as the great Romancer who “makes the coming-in of the morning, and going out of the evening, to shout for joy” – Psl. 68:5.

So, God’s-Righteousness as our own, contrasts sharply with where we’ve been: “When a woman is in labor she has pain because her time has come. But when she has given birth to a child, she no longer remembers the suffering because of the joy that a person (this change of law for grace) has been born into the world” – Jn. 16:20. “For the law came through Moses, but grace and truth are revealed through Jesus Christ” – Jn. 1:17.

We live by a righteousness – right-standing with God – that’s not our own, but is operated through our faith in Christ’s life, death, resurrection, exaltation and glorification! He is the pure, spotless Lamb of God, who lived the perfect life without sin. Therefore death could not hold him because “the sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law” (1Cor. 15:56) and Christ’s life, lived in our place, fulfilled God’s law perfectly.

Death could no stop Him and the grave could not hold Him, because He’d never sinned.

And so, for us?

“The Sun of Righteousness – the true divine light of our faith – has risen in our eyes by our ‘sight’ of Christ’s resurrection, with healing and personal wholeness, in it’s wings”. We access all of our honors from God, through faith in Christ’s resurrection, because of His righteousness, given as a gift to us:

“For if, because of one man’s trespass (the first Adam), death reigned through that one man (because of his sin), then much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and the free gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man Jesus Christ” ~Rom. 5:17.

It’s a gift. That’s why we can come into His presence in worship and in our daily lives, with boldness and complete confidence that He is God, because He took the initiative and made this way of righteousness, for the believer in the gospel, alone.
